Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Securities Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operational activities of the Receipts and Deliveries, Clearing, and Settlements teams.  This oversight includes performance management, coaching, mentoring, talent acquisition, development, recognition etc.   The Securities Services Manager effectively collaborates with the Operation Management team, as well as with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure Haywood’s key business objectives are realized. 

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 5 year’s industry Management experience leading a significant team of direct reports.
  • Present the ability to lead, coach, and mentor teams to develop a positive Corporate culture and provide excellent service to the Haywood advisors and clients.
  • Exhibit superior communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external points of contact.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge/practice of depository requirements and IIROC regulatory rules to ensure effective procedures and internal controls are present to safeguard client assets and maintain proper record keeping.
  • Display subject matter expertise in all areas of oversight.
  • Manage resources and/or shifting priorities across teams to maximize service output.
  • Implement key industry initiatives and design process solutions which contemplate cost, efficiencies, and the customer service experience.
  • Work collaboratively on enterprise wide projects to communicate business needs of the Operation.
  • Establish and ensure ongoing succession of effective training regimes of current policies and procedures.
  • Recruit and manage performance reviews of all team members.
  • Establish departmental goals and follow through to completion.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Operations Management team.
