Haywood's Operations Department is currently looking to recruit a Securities Administrator. To be successful the candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to process requests efficiently and accurately, provide exceptional customer service, and work within a team environment. A positive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment is an important attribute. The successful incumbent must be a problem solver; actively looking for opportunities to improve processes and implement solutions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Primary securities administrator servicing the Client counter.
  • Main contact for Securities Master set-up and ongoing maintenance.
  • Safekeeping moves.
  • Controlling safety deposit boxes.
  • Transport securities between different brokers, transfer agents, bank, etc.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with others at all levels in the organization.
  • Acting as part of a supportive and team-driven group, you will be given the independence to take on the various tasks across different operational groups.
  • Coverage for other team members during absences.
  • Various reporting and administration tasks as required.
  • Spreading positive energy and contributing to a team atmosphere of which you are proud to belong. 

Job Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Being able to adapt to a fast pace office environment where responsibilities include a variety of tasks which may vary depending on operational needs.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Convey information using the tools necessary, engaging the audience to ensure the message is delivered and understood, creating a positive first impression with confidence and respect.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • Applicants with experience using Dataphile Broadridge, CDS and DTC applications will be treated with priority.
  • One to three years of experience in the financial industry is preferred.
